Description

Is it Math? Is it Art? It's both- simple and beautiful. Test your artistic and math abilities with our String Art kit. Use colorful string to create beautiful geometric shapes with our provided templates. Consisting of only string and wood, even the youngest artist can assemble this crafty kit with ease. What a great way to learn math. Once completed hang your creation on the wall. Decorate and color the wood with markers or paint (not included).

Kit components
  • Baltic birch plywood laser-cut wooden hoops & starter set of colored string. Colors may differ from those shown in the illustration
  • Choose different configurations: Circular 5 Hoop Set: 5 nested circular hoops 20,30,40,50,60 holes (8 string skeins)
  • Starter string: 8 assorted colors of approximately 8.75 yds each.
Additional information
  • Recommended for ages 8+ - younger children will require help to string the hoops
  • Hoops do not come pre-strung. Use the instruction sheets below to help you represent mathematical functions and/or shapes. You can find numerous stringing patterns in addition to the ones we supply
  • The skeins supplied with this kit are just to start you off. For intricate patterns, the supplied skeins may be too short to complete the loop. Any string or wool can be used with this kit.
