Angel Chorus 16

Description
Sixteen paper angels with brass halos, each holding a heart, and the heart is the trick. Fold it back and it opens into a pair of wings, so light passes through and the whole chorus glows when it hangs in a window. Ole Flensted designed Angel Chorus in 1980 and it has become one of the workshop's most-loved pieces, the kind that comes out of its box every December and gets handed down.
It's 18 inches square, so it fills a window or a corner of the living room without crowding a tree. Hang it near a light source: the halos catch it, the wings filter it, and the sixteen figures turn slowly at different rates. Assembly is a few minutes of folding, a lovely job for a child old enough to be careful. Between seasons it packs flat in its original box.
Handmade in Denmark by the Flensted family workshop.
