Balloon 5

Description
Five balloons instead of three, and a lot more sky. Balloon 5 is the full-size version of Christian Flensted's 1979 design, about 21 inches tall and two feet wide, so the balloons have room to drift past one another rather than turning in a tight cluster. It's the one Flensted recommends for hanging above a baby's crib: bright, slow, high enough to be out of reach, and endlessly watchable from below.
It also outgrows the nursery gracefully. In a playroom, a reading nook or a stairwell it reads as a piece of kinetic art rather than baby gear, which is why so many of these stay up for a decade. Each balloon carries a small beech basket; the balloons arrive flat and fold into their round shape without glue or tools.
Handmade in Denmark by the Flensted family workshop since 1953.
