Description
The same 1955 Christian Flensted design that starred in an Elizabeth Taylor film, in its most playful dress. Each curved fin is rainbow-colored on one face and black on the other, hanging in a spiral around a central ball. Because the fins rotate at different rates, the mobile is never all-color or all-black; you get a moving mix that shifts every few seconds, a small lesson in how much motion a room's air actually carries.
It is 12 by 18 inches, big enough to anchor a wall but easy to hang from a standard ceiling hook. Kids' rooms love it; so do kitchens and creative studios. Choose Red & Black for a quieter, more graphic version of the same piece.
Handmade in Denmark by the Flensted family workshop, founded in 1953.
