Description
The same balancing act as Ole Flensted's first design, the 1970 Futura, in pale, unpainted beech. Each arm sets a heavy wooden sphere against a lighter counterweight, and the result is a mobile that doesn't just rotate but tilts, dips and recovers, moving in long arcs on very little air. It rewards watching the way a slow pendulum does.
The Nature colorway is the one to choose for a room that already has its colors decided: a Scandinavian living room, a bedroom in linen and oak, a minimalist office. At 30 inches wide it is a substantial piece, and in wood tones it reads as sculpture more than decoration. A strong gift for a design-minded couple, a new home, or an architect.
Handmade in Denmark by the Flensted family workshop.
