Description

Our wooden spinning top kit features laser-cut pieces that easily snap together to create a personalized spin top. No glue necessary! And while it may seem like just a toy, there's actually some serious physics at play. This makes for a super cool STEAM project. Decorate the top then play around with the order of the 3 circles to see how it impacts your top's spin. Does it affect the balance? How long can you keep it spinning?

Kit components
  • 3 laser cut circles the largest of which is etched with a distinct pattern
  • The top’s stem composed of two interlocking pieces
Additional information
  • Recommended for ages 6+
  • Customize your kit and decorate it with markers or paint (not included). When using paint try not to apply at the wood joints as this may make it difficult for the parts to fit smoothly.
  • In cases were stem is loose, apply a small amount of glue to join. Masking tape or painters paint can help keep the parts in place while the glue dries.
  • Do not glue the circular components!
